Lord of The Flies
Chapter 12: Cry of the Hunters
My title: Perfect Timing
Perspective: Ralph
The first place I hid was in the thicket. I was so scared when they stared throwing rocks down at me. Then they set the thicket on fire with Piggy's glasses and drove me out of the thicket. They saw me run away and I heard a faint ululation in the distance. I am so grateful that Samneric gave me meat. I'm glad they didn't try to diddle me and give away my position. I cant believe Jack forced Samneric onto his tribe. He is so mean. Roger even had a two sided sharpened spear for my head. I am glad they didn't catch me. The thicket fire flushed me out of hiding because the fire spread around everywhere. I saw the naval officer dressed in drill. It was the best sight ever. Jack followed behind me to the beach and the naval officer saw his painted appearance. When Percival tried to remember his name he couldn't. He had already said it too many times and got tired of his name. I think Jack should take full responsibility because if he had listened to everything I said and stayed with the group none of this would have happened. The naval officer was so disappointed in us because he had learned that two people had died on this island.
